Calculating …

The best option is derived automatically from all selected transport modes after the distance calculation.

Breakdown of CO₂e into upstream chain (Well-to-Tank) – extraction and provision of the energy carrier – and operation (Tank-to-Wheel).

EN 16258, GLEC and ISO 14083 require both shares to be reported separately. To the methodology →

Auditable pollutant and particulate balances per HBEFA/ISO 14083 are available in the .

Same route, just a different mode: the distance stays identical, the emission factor and modal logic change – so you immediately see the cheapest alternative.

Emissions per leg of the route – when Multimodal is active, with its own mode per leg (e.g. truck · ferry · truck).

The page focuses on three things: fast data entry, clear results and transparent comparison of different scenarios.

Map & distance

Present the lane cleanly, both visually and numerically.

Notes on the logic

  • The calculation is a practical preliminary estimate, not a certified ESG report.
  • Pallets are converted at a default of 0.50 t per pallet. This value can be adjusted.
  • Utilization acts as an efficiency lever: lower utilization increases emissions per transported tonne.
  • HVO100 is modeled as a significantly lower-emission scenario, but works best as a comparison and sales argument.
